Parse the commit comment and display visually

We can parse the original comment and display the information contained therein in a friendlier manner and enable some useful operations.

For example:

  1. Grouped by operation type (modified, added, etc.).
  2. Launch a diff for specific files (diffs help remind you of what you changed when writing commit messages)
  3. Add files you forgot to add to the commit*
  4. Remove files from the commit*
  • These will result in a new commit and the relaunch of Gnomit.

This will involve some work and I want to think about how/what to implement without in any way impacting the cognitive load/simplicity of the original functionality.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
